Hays Specialist Recruitment

David

I left the insurance industry in 2001 when my employer when into liquidation and I faced redundancy.

I registered with a recruitment consultancy that recognised that my sales background together with my technical insurance knowledge would benefit the sector and so I was offered a position.

Passionate and driven

After joining Hays in 2005, I am now a branch manager in Southampton, covering the Hampshire and Dorset areas with a team of seven consultants.

Is there such a thing as a Hays person? I believe there is and I have the pleasure of working closely with many of them.

Not only passionate about the job they do, a Hays consultant cares about people and their careers, and is driven to build their own business and incomes through being knowledgeable about the marketplace they work in.

A perfect platform

There are many things to enjoy about the role. Building business relationships with clients, sustaining existing relationships through excellent customer service, as well as getting to know candidates’ needs and helping them find a new job are all rewarding.

Being a sales-based role, the harder you work the greater the monetary rewards. If you’re a good communicator who enjoys a challenge and have an ability to persuade, then Hays provides a perfect platform to build a career in recruitment consultancy.
