Helpdesk Jobs
Helpdesk Operators' main responsibility is to take calls from staff/public regarding Facilities and Maintenance faults with in their building or property. The Operator then logs the details on to a database of which various different software is used.
Helpdesk Operators' responsibility is to contact maintenance staff/ sub-contractors including electrical engineers, plumbers, AC engineers, cleaners, handymen and many more. The Maintenance staff/ sub contractors carry out works directed by the Helpdesk Operator. Helpdesk jobs ensure that the work is completed to a satisfactory level then closes the job on their database.
Helpdesk jobs - importance of customer service and IT skills
Customer Service skills are important for helpdesk jobs and calls must be answered promptly with a confident and courteous telephone manner. Knowledge of Maximo, Concept or any other Helpdesk package is desirable. Must be PC literate with good knowledge of Excel, Word etc.
