Briggs and Forrester Engineering Services Ltd has been established for over 60 years. It is a privately owned major building services contractor with an annual turnover in excess of £50M. We undertake the design, construction and commissioning of building services installations encompassing all aspects of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health engineering.

OUR STANDARDS:

Best Practice.We are committed to embracing best practice in all operational areas. We monitor our performance in line with the key performance indicators for the industry including productivity, defects, safety and profitability. Post project reviews are carried out with our customers to determine how they perceive our performance and identify areas for improvement.

Health and Safety. All company operations are carried out with the utmost attention given to health and safety. We recognise there is no room for complacency and continuously demand the highest standards of safety.

Human Resources.. We achieve the investors in people standard through our whole organisation, which underpins our approach to the development and training of our employees. We operate an induction programme for all new employees and regular appraisals for all staff.

Quality. Quality must be maintained throughout every phase of a project with the aim of zero defects at completion. Quality Systems are in place and we maintain formal certification to BS/EN/ISO 9001..

Environment and the Community. With a constantly increasing awareness of energy issues, we ensure that efficient energy use and emission targets are set for all our projects. All our activities are the subject of an environmental impact assessment.

We pride ourselves on applying a systematic approach to all projects and to achieving the required project functions at least cost, without any detriment to quality, performance of reliability. Our whole team approach is based around openness and transparency of information to ensure a high quality of finished product at the right price.

Information Technology. We continue to invest substantially in the latest information technology to ensure that we remain at the leading edge of the building services industry. All staff have access to training and systems which enhance our work processes.

Commissioning and Testing. We firmly believe that adequate time and resources must be allotted to commissioning to ensure each project operates correctly when occupied. Our commissioning activities are managed by a specialist in-house team that oversees the process from start to finish.
