jobs in broadband
A landline, main line or fixed-line is a telephone line which travels through a solid medium, either metal wire or optical fibre. This is to be distinguished from a mobile cellular line, where the medium used is the airwaves.
Landlines usually cost less than cellular lines and provide better voice quality, and are used when there is no need for mobility or where cellular service is unavailable. A land line is also used to increase the security of communications, as it cannot be intercepted by a receiver without physical access to the line.
Prior telecoms experience for cable and DSL broadband jobs
Sometimes referred to as a high-speed internet, broadband is an ‘always on’ fast connection to the internet. Today there are a wide variety of broadband technologies available in most areas; two of the more commonly found and used technologies are cable and DSL broadband.
Individuals will typically have prior telecommunications experience, copper and fibre installation and/or planning experience. Individuals with Frames experience, installation and maintenance are also highly desirable as are ISP or telecoms.

The demand for fibre and copper planners is very high, as this is an area that we are not seeing many of the present generation going into.
